Haüyne is a point of reference between two inverse functions: the fervor of experimentation and the refined traditions of haute couture, a dynamic synergy whose boundaries are repeatedly renegotiated, where the natural and futuristic unexpectedly meet. Haüyne is the alter ego of Elpida Livanou.
The collaboration with designer Elpida Livanou is built upon the creation of a multi-layered visual and conceptual identity, capturing the creative coexistence between two distinct design directions. The brand Haüyne, named after the rare mineral, represents Haute Couture through sculptural silhouettes, sharp aesthetics, and fabric approached as a structural medium. Conversely, the typographic abbreviation ELP LVN expresses the brand’s contemporary, direct, and statement side. This dual nature led to an organic interlocking of the two typographic logos, establishing a visual balance that conceptually and aesthetically differentiates the haute couture collections from the statement pieces. In parallel, a dedicated garment naming architecture was fully developed, drawing from natural and physical phenomena to serve as conceptual anchors for each creation.
The overall editorial approach is rooted purely in typography and the dynamic interplay between language and imagery. The two typographic logos intertwine and interact, while custom iconographic elements act as a parallel visual system. Text, typography, and icons evolve in tandem, treating nature as the ultimate architect and guiding the viewer through the aesthetics and philosophy of the collections.
